This week the Necro Team revisits the early 80’s the halcyon days or grindhouse and exploitation films with the obscure Without Warning.  This alien shocker features killer performances by Jack Palance and Martin Landau, two OG’s in genre movies as well as a sick-looking alien. After you see this film, you may never look at frozen pizzas the same way again.

NECROMANIACS 128 POSSESSION

This week, Mike and Jeff dive deep into Possession, the 1981 horror / thriller / drama written and directed by Andrej Zulawski.  To date, his has been a nearly impossible film to see in all of its uncut glory, so you might have to scour the net and the shadowy corners of the horror cons to locate a copy. 
Intense, brutal and at times hard to watch, this is truly a boundary-pushing film that stars a young Sam Neill alongside the incredible Isabelle Adjani who delivers a sublime performance in duel roles.

NECRO 127 THE CHURCH

Mike and Mike talk about The Church, one of Michele Soavi’s earlier films from 1989.  Soavi was a few years away from giving us, Necro-favorite Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man in the US), so he was still in Dario Argento’s shadow at the time he made this film.  Originally slated to be part of the Demons series, Soavi wanted to make his own, distinct film.

This week, we dive into one of the most controversial, blasphemous movies I film history! Our course we are talking about “The Devils”, the 1971 film written and directed by Ken Russell inspired by The Devils of Loudun by Aldous Huxley the play by John Whiting.

NECROMANIACS BLOODY HELL
