This week we dive deep into the controversial, right-wing wet dream known as CITIZEN VIGILANTE, the newest film by Uwe Boll. Armie Hammer somehow returns to polite society to star as Michael Sanders, an American living in Europe looking to mete out street justice targeting various criminals that have slipped through the cracks of the failing system of law and order.

Everyone is talking about OBSESSION, the debut film by Curry Barker. To date, it has outperformed the latest Star Wars movie and setting new records.  You may know Curry Barker from his YouTube film MILK AND SERIAL, which positioned him to make his feature film debut.  Check in with the Necromaniacs to get their take on all of this.

The long-awaited BACKROOMS movie is the subject of this week’s episode. Kane Parsons (a.k.a Kane Pixels) moved front and center with the expansion of the Backrooms phenomenon, first appearing back in 2019 as a post on 4Chan accompanied by cryptic text.  A24 tapped Parsons to direct a full-feature as his debut which is measuring up to be one of 2026’s most talked about horror films.

It’s no secret that we dig Paul Schrader here at Necromaniacs; he’s one of the masters of neo noir, violent crime films and also not too bad at horror. The 1982 remake of DeWitt Bodean’s 1942 CAT PEOPLE displays that Schrader is comfortable working within the supernatural horror genre.
