This week we have our eye on the relatively obscure Dracula AD 1972. It’s kind of a sleeper in the Hammer Horror catalog so in true Necromaniacs fashion, we decided to review this 1972 vampire oddity.

NECRO 193 THE WOMAN INBLACK 1989

In advance of the oncoming spooky season, we covered the 1989 ghost story The Woman in Black, a made-for-tv British feature.  Notable fact: the great Nigel Kneale wrote the screenplay for this one. If you are fans of the Quatermass movies or Halloween III: Season of the Witch, you’ll be familiar with Kneale’s work.

NECRO 192 A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE

One of our favorite things to do is check out films by our favorite filmmakers when they branch out beyond the strict boundaries of the horror genre.  Behold David Cronenberg’s A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, based on the graphic novel written by John Wagner with artwork by Deadworld’s Vince Locke.
Jeff tells his story where he met Cronenberg at the movies red carpet premier in LA, Mike H Runs down his prolific list of shows he’s gone to and we have a call from the Necro Phone.
