Happy Halloween Everyone!  It’s always good to get the three of us together for an episode, so Mike, Mike and Jeff do a gang episode and talk about this year’s entry into the Halloween franchise Halloween Kills.

Of course, we are talking about the 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers.  Expert cinematography, excellent writing and an all-star cast including Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Jeff Goldbum, Leonard Nimoy and one or our favorite Canadians Art Hindle.

Mike and Mike wrap up the Cruel Summer Series with possibly the greatest of all summer horror flicks: the classic, genre-defining Friday the 13th.

Jeff and Mike are back after a short break from last week.  Motherhood, child birth, psychosis and brutal beatings are the main components of 2013’s Proxy, a movie that we agree probably wouldn’t be released in the current climate.

Jeff and Mike riff on Censor, the debut film by Prano Bailey-Bond, someone that we will definitely be keeping our eyes on for future releases.  Censor is a period piece set in the 1980’s UK “Video Nasties” era and addresses sensory overload and it’s affect on the human psyche, especially is that psyche belongs to someone with a borderline personality.

Mike and Mike continue their Summer Horror Series with the 1981 slasher The Burning. The film features early roles for Jason Alexander, Holly Hunter, Fisher Stevens and some other familiar faces.  Also worth noting for you progressive rock fans, Rick Wakeman composed a killer score.
