This week, we talk about one of the best horror / science fiction films of the 70’s. Jeff and Mike are back after a short break from last week.  Motherhood, child birth, psychosis and brutal beatings are the main components of 2013’s Proxy, a movie that we agree probably wouldn’t be released in the current climate.

NECROMANIACS 093 CENSOR

Jeff and Mike riff on Censor, the debut film by Prano Bailey-Bond, someone that we will definitely be keeping our eyes on for future releases.  Censor is a period piece set in the 1980’s UK “Video Nasties” era and addresses sensory overload and it’s affect on the human psyche, especially is that psyche belongs to someone with a borderline personality.

NECROMANIACS 092 THE BURNING

Mike and Mike continue their Summer Horror Series with the 1981 slasher The Burning. The film features early roles for Jason Alexander, Holly Hunter, Fisher Stevens and some other familiar faces.  Also worth noting for you progressive rock fans, Rick Wakeman composed a killer score.
