Necromaniacs 113 Don’t Go in the House

You can’t beat the late 70’s and 80’s for horror films. There is something special about those low-budget, “grindhouse” movies that played alongside pornos and martial arts movies in the wild west of Times Square back in the day.
This week, Mike H. and Mike S. revisit Don’t Go In the House, one of the more disturbing movies from that period.

Necromaniacs 112 Cure

Jeff and Mike H team up this week to discuss Cure, the relatively obscure work by Kiyoshi Kurosawa.  Back in 1997, Japanese horror was taking the US by storm with Ringu, Audition and the Ju-on series but Cure stands out with it’s heavy lean into atmosphere, pacing and a brooking tone.

Mike and Mike are together again for Part 2 of our Giallo exploration of the work of Sergio Martino.  The next logical step, in light of last week’s episode, is the classic Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I have the Key, which also stars the ravishing Edwige Fenech.
